Just curious what everyone would buy with about $500 and a couple hours of lead time.

To narrow down the discussion, assume that you will be heading back to your home to shelter in place. Home would have a good couple weeks of food and basic tools and supplies. You think the scenario will be really bad for a week or two, but do not know how long it may go on.

Ammo, because you can't ever have enough and more pm's for the same reason. Otherwise, I'm already prepared for AHBL with food and gear.

Beans, flour, rice, sugar, salt, yeast, oil, etc. for the extended family to eat first before we get into the stash.

.22LR bulk ammunition
bulk pack shotgun ammunition
Rubbermaid Tote buckets
5 gal paint bucket w/lid & 100 lbs of cat litter for expedient toilet
Sta-Bil fuel stabilizer
Good quality fuel cans, fill them on your way home
Oil filters, case of oil, extra coolant, brake fluid, spark plugs, fuel filter
New auto battery
Battery charger
1000-1500 watt Xantrex inverter and cables
Tarps
rubber boots
6mil plastic sheeting, visquene
Corn oil
spices, pepper
Corona grain mill
